Bicycle Wheel at Main and 37th Avenue was installed in 1997 as a marker along the Vancouver Ridgeway Bicycle Pathway. Since then I have worked on two other permanent public art projects in Vancouver. Light Ring was a collaboration with Marko Simcic at Terra Nova for the City of Richmond in 2006, and Kingsway Luminaires was installed on Kingsway at the intersections of Clark and Dumphries in 2009, as part of the artist initiated, City of Vancouver Public Art Program. Both projects used LED lights that slowly cycle through a limited range of colours throughout the night.
